Gilboa-Conesville Central School

The staff of the Gilboa-Conesville Central School, a community institution, believes that ALL students can learn and can achieve mastery of academic competencies.  We believe that our school’s purpose is to meet all students at their present levels and help them move forward academically, socially emotionally and personally.  We strive to achieve an educational end result in which every student, upon leaving school, is fully prepared to enter post-secondary education, or go directly into the work force with confidence, competence, pride and satisfaction.  We accept the responsibility to teach all students so that they are prepared to reach their educational potential.

We intend to help students accomplish this academic mastery by providing an educational setting which sets high expectations and develops positive self-esteem and responsible citizenship.  We believe that beyond academic mastery we must work to raise our students’ cultural awareness, and increase their abilities to work together and communicate with cooperation and respect.  We will teach our students to develop an appreciation for differing opinions and life styles, and help them gain the awareness that education is a lifelong process.

We encourage parents and community members to take an active role in the education of our children.
