GCR Spring Sports Update: 5/19/26
Modified Boys Baseball
Last night, our modified boys team took down Hunter-Tannersville 13–10. Devon Zambri started on the mound, racking up a handful of strikeouts to help the boys jump out to an early lead after Jakob Rosa’s 2-RBI triple. The boys found themselves tied in the final inning, where great plate discipline and smart base running set up Derrick Speenburgh to close out the game on the mound and secure the win.
Next game is Wednesday, May 20 at Gilboa vs. Margaretville
Modified Girls Softball
The girls' modified softball team earned a big victory Monday night against Hunter-Tannersville with an impressive 19–2 win!
Pitcher Brooklyn Trimbell led the way, earning the win with an outstanding 18 strikeouts. Offensively, Brooklyn Trimbell, Brooke Brandow, Hailey Maxim, and Alex Kamna all contributed doubles to help power the offense, with several also adding singles.

It was another fantastic team effort as the team improved its record to 8–0.
