GCR Fall Sports Update 9/21 and 9/22: Boys Soccer

Modified Boys Soccer:
On 9/21, the Modified Boys team lost to Margaretville 2-1 in overtime.
  
JV Boys Soccer:
The JV Boys continue their perfect start with a scrappy 4-1 victory away to Rondout Valley on 9/22. It was a 3 goal first half that made the difference with Brayden Hubbard opening the scoring on his first start of the season off of a corner, with Kaleb Vamosy providing the assist. GCCS 8th grader Colin Tyree continued his hot start, scoring the second goal and adding an assist off a beautiful header by Oleksa Kutcher. Vamosy would close the game with a break away goal to restore a 3 goal lead shortly after a Rondout Valley goal. The boys will be back in action on Thursday home at Gilboa-Conesville!

Varsity Boys Soccer:
The GCR boys traveled to Roundout Valley( class B ) on Tuesday night for a non - league match. Roundout Valley would strike first midway through the first half and take a 1-0 lead into halftime. The score remained 1- 0 until Dom Grieco found the back of the net on a throw in from Garrison Ross with 4:30 left in the game. The game would finish at a 1-1 tie. Our boys are now 6-0-1 on the season. Next up for GCR , will be an away game at Worcester on Thursday.
