Due to settings on the Dress Code Committee form posted earlier this week, those attempting to fill out the form outside of the gccs.us domain were not able to submit a form. Parent conferences will be held on Thursday, December 2nd from 3:00pm to 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm as well as Friday, December 3rd during the afternoon from 12:45pm to 3:00pm. Elementary teachers will be contacting parents regarding conference times and Mrs. Cammer will be setting up high school conferences. Parents may come in person for their scheduled conference or can request a virtual conference. For in person meetings, parents must adhere to COVID-19 protocols and wear a mask at all times inside the building. Virtual conferences will be held over Google Meet and an invitation will be sent to parents via email. Parents of high school students can request a conference by contacting Mrs. Cammer in the Guidance Office (tcammer@gccs.us or 607-588-7541 option 4). Every effort will be made to coordinate conferences for parents with children in multiple grade levels.

Please consider helping the Catskill Veterans Outreach Center. Donations of non-perishable foods are now being accepted until Tuesday the 23rd of November. These can be dropped off at either 56 Main Street Stamford, here at the school’s main office or you can contact Eli Martin through Facebook Messenger. The types of perishable foods that you can donate are: Boxed stuffing, Canned Vegetables, Potatoes (canned or instant), gravy, cranberry sauce, desserts (cakes/brownie mix), and apple juice. There have been a number of questions about the Parent/Student handbook that was sent home last week.  The updates this year, besides changes in staffing, were the following: a new code was added to list students who were quarantined, there was clarification under suspension as to who is responsible for your child’s schooling, and finally we made a minor change to our tardy policy.  Other than those minor changes, the Parent/Student Handbook has remained mostly the same for over 10 years. We will be forming a committee to address the student dress code as part of our state  school improvement process.  Students will be invited in the near future to be a part of this process.

The Class of 2027 is now selling "Gobblin' Goodie Bags!" For just a dollar, you can send a candy bag with a personalized message to anyone in the School. To order a Gobblin' Goodie Bag, please see any 7th grader or stop by the Turkey Table during Lunch time (5th/6th Period) to fill out the slip/message. All Goody bags will be delivered next Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break. Thank you for supporting the Class of 2027!

Gilboa-Conesville Central School Pediatric (5 – 11 year old) Pfizer Vaccination Clinic This clinic offers the FIRST DOSE of pediatric Pfizer vaccine to persons 5 years to 11 years old. It will be held at the Gilboa-Conesville Central School on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:30pm. Parents MUST accompany their child throughout the clinic sign-in, vaccination, and 15-minute wait time after vaccination. Parents, please bring your identification with you. A second appointment will be automatically scheduled for the same time 3 weeks later. You will receive an email after the first visit confirming that appointment for the same appointment time and place on Monday, December 6, 2021.
